With its 8.9 ratio, the Ypra Slalom is a speed machine that allows you to easily counter-heel to the extreme, always putting more tension on the harness. It excels in crosswind angles, delivering exceptional control at high speeds.

The profile of the Ypra Slalom is optimized for maximum flight range, resistance to ventilation, upwind and downwind performance, but most importantly, for minimal drag across a wide speed range, providing sharp, on-demand acceleration at any moment.

The Ypra Slalom’s high anhedral provides excellent control on fast edges and extra margin to prevent tip stalls in waves and chop. This foil is very stable and predictable at high speeds, so you can focus on the race and carve with full confidence.

We design the lift of our foils so that, with the suggested configuration, the lift point remains consistent. For instance, a Curve M foil with a Curve M stabilizer will be set at the same spot on your board as a Fluid M foil with a Fluid M stabilizer.

You can easily find your settings within a few millimeters based on your feeling on all GONG foils mounted on your board.

The balance of forces is carefully calculated to provide a constant feel, particularly when switching between front wings during a session. But you have the freedom to tweak it by changing the stabilizer or settings to get a different sensation.

Engineered in 3D and digitally optimized, each foil is crafted with extreme precision using hydrodynamic and mechanical simulations. Tested by our Pro Team, this range is proven in real conditions to guarantee smooth performance.

Every stage of production is a work of engineering excellence: 5-axis CNC machining, vacuum compression, thermal molding at 150°C, and ultra-precise finishing. The multidirectional, pre-preg fibers ensure optimal flex and torsion control, offering managed rigidity and enhanced durability with a lightweight design.

High-Modulus Carbon delivers unparalleled rigidity, embodying the peak of performance in our most advanced wings and masts, designed to withstand the toughest structural stresses.

These products feature minimal flex, as the fibers are oriented along multiple axes to lock in bending and torsion, ensuring maximum responsiveness.

Thanks to the pre-impregnated fibers, we can ensure optimal resin use, providing perfect cohesion with the lightest possible weight.

Each layer of carbon is CNC-cut and then carefully assembled by hand around a high-density hydrophobic foam core, before being placed in a steel mold. A central stiffener is integrated to increase rigidity without compromising lightness.

The mold is then exposed to high pressure and heated to 150°C to harden the resin and carbon. The foam core, expanding under the heat, ensures even compression between the carbon layers, resulting in a solid and durable structure.

Durability and repairability are at the core of our development philosophy. Our foils are tested and proven by dozens of team riders, hundreds of employees, and thousands of customers worldwide. Even in case of damage, our products can be repeatedly repaired, ensuring exceptional longevity.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

– faster
– more rigid
– more resistant
– lighter

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening stab connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the stab, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the stab, even after long sessions.

This fitting only requires two screws under the stab, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle is already validated for several years on our V2 stabs.

Retro fitting

The entire range, from the fuselage, to the mast, to the front wing and the stab, has been revised to radically boost the performance of our foils, without being limited by our old connection shapes.

However, this choice to change all of our parts could not be considered without continuing to offer compatibility with our old ranges.

We therefore offer a wide choice of fuselages which gives you the freedom to mix all our masts, front wings and stabs, whatever their generation.
